Phew, what a long day! Today I finally released my beloved baby, roots. I was super stoked to see that it really picked up on hacker news, and have been seeing super heavy traffic to the site all day, which was handled very elegantly by my new favorite webhost, nodejitsu. I received very very little negative feedback, which is amazing for hacker news, and within just a few hours the post had shot up to over 100 upvotes, and I had more than 100 stars on github. Whoo!
Really excited that the project release went well, and I hope people continue to use it. Needless to say, I’ll be working hard to keep the awesome coming out from roots, and I’ve got a lot to think about and process after today’s events.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported me today and throughout the development of roots, especially carrot creative, the incredible company I work for, and sam saccone who is a great friend and helped out a lot with this project.
